Some masquerading as men’s advocates utter nonsense like it takes a war to make boys into men. How messed up is this? Why would we want to make boys into the type of men that are derived from the expense of others? In other words, hate and violence are what constitute manhood? Those who say this crap have a general hatred of themselves for being male. They are masochists. Thus the form of masculiniuty that is toxic is a social construct. Males are not born this way and must be conditioned to transform into something else by the will of others.
If they need some form of death to prove they and others like them are worthy as adult human beings, why don’t guys like this just go jump over a cliff instead and save the lives of others who would otherwise be killed in a war they claim is ‘needed’ to make ‘real men’? Violence and hate do not define a worthy manhood. This epitomizes the very identity that demeans men in every aspect of life from being kind and nurturing fathers to being disposable pawns used and exploited by women and the government. By their very existence, men are to be free as anyone else to define themselves in their own right rather than owned by others who define them.
If war is what makes boys into men then we had better not want them to be men per such definition applying to both sides as innocent men are pitted against each other. And again, wouldn’t this mean that men aren’t good enough by nature and that it takes a social construct designed by others to make them ‘good enough’? This represents a sculpted identity based on extreme hate and violence–a disposition forcefully attached to males conforming to what others (those who claim male ownership) want in their attempt to make boys into ‘men’. How coercive, dictatorial and subjective is this? One’s existence is therefore sculpted (a designed identity) by someone else to make him into what he or she wants and deems acceptable, calling the misandry ‘manhood’. How does this ownership/slavery support men’s advocacy? Do women have to be abused to be ‘real women’?Do we hold girls to any process to make them ‘women’ in which case they must be subjected to risk of life and are lethally pitted against other women for them to be complete by the dictate of others? These people doing this are not only the ultimate haters but force their hate upon others by shaming males into qualifying as ‘real men’ to fit their selfish demands. And yet we complain about feminists and how they regard men.
