Men and women are of equal value, neither to be rated disposable to the other. That applies as long as they are not subjectively taken out of the context of time and unity. Men and women used to start out as young couples who created value together. A female has no more inherent value than a male. (A child can’t reproduce in the first place.) When women ‘hit the wall’, the female reproductive value is gone. The person as an individual represents value rather than any biological feature with which he/she is born. (And besides, women have control over whether they have babies or not, not men, with many choosing not to.) If women are not contributing their fair share to a potential union and are limited by time per such a reproductive analogy, considering a fleeting biological characteristic in the overall equation, all tolled, women have less reproductive value/potential to men. (They comparatively quickly ‘hit the wall’.) Based on the religious trad/con reproductive value mentality, does this not mean, per an overall analogy, that women suddenly become more disposable than men?
Wouldn’t this ‘rationale’ mean that all the women on the Titanic who were past their child-bearing years (reproductive ability) should have also gone down with the ship alongside the ‘less valuable’ males who, based on this twisted reproductive analogy, were actually more valuable than they? (Chivalry is the sex-biased dictate, not reproductive potential, which is no less unethical.) But some say in response that men are stronger than women. SO WHAT? Does that make any difference when it comes to dying on a sinking ship? These are incoherent excuses for valuing or devaluing people based on their inherited traits exactly as has been done to jews and blacks. (Blacks as slaves were also valued due to their body strength and bred for it–what is claimed to account for their great athletic abilities.) As human beings, dependent on the environment by which we are influenced and developed, we must be smarter than this. Having any intellectual integrity as an advanced species will bring out those with brains capable of thinking for themselves rather than a massive sheep effect with people manipulated and controlled by others and what they dictate due to popularity and beliefs.
